They all charge Xiney. But www.motorcheck.ie is the better one. He posts here from time to time under Motorcheck.

Still, 35 yoyos is pricey enough. I suppose you'd want to be definitely interested - which is annoying if you just want to have a better idea of whether it's worth even viewing, particularly if the car is some distance away.

Oh well. I'm just glad there was a free site when I was looking.

I find mywheels.com easier than motorcheck but as you said you'd want to be alsmost certainly buying the car to pay for the check.

I think the most important thing is the previous owners of the car so you can give them a buzz to ask about the car but none of these checks give you their names, address or phone numbers. I feel it would be worth paying for then

Also how much are they charging for a full check where they send a mechanic.I reckon it would be way cheaper to take a mechanic with you

There's an anti-competitive price cartell (no pun intended) put in place by the data provider that disenables companies to offer the information for free. That's apparently why mywheels had to start charging.
