Is it me of is the sound quality on TodayFM different?

For example Joe duffy is being interviewed on the Last Word and his voice sounds different than it normally does on RTE. It's as if he's inhaling helium from a balloon.

The sound is off alright. Sounds like someone is using a rubbish bailer in the backround.

Since they moved to their new studios the sound/audio has not been right, not that it was anything to write home about before the move anyway.

The music has lost all its "musicality" and is lacking fidelity, vocals sound terrible and "breathy" maybe due to high data and audio processing but one thing is for sure, it's predecessor Century Radio sounded 10 times better 20 years ago!

The sound engineers @ Today Fm should get the finger out and get the audio sorted for once and for all.

    Agreed!

Actually "breathy" was the term I was looking for, that sums it up perfectly.
