I rang Setanta yesterday asking about getting reconnected. They said it was €16.99, plus administration fee. I ask about any promotions, and they said there wasn't any at the moment. It being the start of the season, I'm not too surprised. They had offered me €5 for 3 months when I cancelled. I sorry now I didn't take up that offer. There rugby coverage is really good, even if they are losing the live games, they show lots of repeats and put in a lots commentary and analysis.

I think €16.99 is too expensive, around €12 would be OK, but Setanta probably wouldn't survive on that.

Is anybody still getting the €5 per month for longer than 3 or 6 months?

Does anybody know of any promotions for Setanta at the moment?

Why wouldn't they? What sport rights do they have now that aren't available on FTA channels. Setanta should get rid of Setanta Sports 1 and be a basic channel like Eurosport.

I rang yesterday to cancel, having had a €2.99 per month offer over the summer (3 months). Girl on the phone spent a good 10 minutes trying to persuade me to stay, before finally offering 3 months at €9.99. I was genuine about cancelling when I rang, and she probably got that message, but I took the offer in the end, Bottom line for me, I can do without the channel if its €16.99 per month.
