Anyone know where to purchase decent strong ground coffee in Galway? Not Bewleys crap that seems prevalent in most supermarkets.

    Thanks

It's been a while but I think Butlers on Shop street has a selection.

McCambridges on Shop St. probably has the best selection but Mocha Beans and Cafe Express also sell coffee though I have a feeling its is mainly beans and not ground.

You could try Tesco for the Illy Dark Roast. It's readily available in their Dublin stores; I'd imagine it's the case for the Galway ones, too. It's an espresso grind.

Their Coffee is roaster by a small Micro Roaster in Tuam. I haven't tasted it myself though.
