    Hi,

My girlfriend has been offered a job. They head hunted her because she is so good at what she does but the question is how much is she worth?? & doesn't knowhow much to ask for. On all the jobs websites it always says "negotiable".
At presant she has a safe job but the money ain't good at all. How much is the normal for dublin as she works in another county..

Thanks for any replys whats so ever. Have googled the crap of this one and came up with nothing so once again thanks boards

It really depends on her responsibilities!
A lot of health club type places have pretty hands on owners and just want a lacky to prepare the rota.

Considering what beauticians / gym instructors / spa treatment folk etc get paid I'd imagine €5000 on top of that for a Spa manager. Just a guess though. Surely if your girlfriend is in the industry she has some idea. Best thing to do is to tell them that she isn't going to dictate to them what the role pays, whatever they then offer ask for €3000 to €5000 / annum more and settle somewhere in between that and their offer ;) (if it suits her). There is no shortage of folk on the scratch well capable of doing the job so that's another thing to remember, I'm not for a second suggesting she should take what they initially offer but it is very much an employers market. Last place I was in cut my rate by 25% 3/4 through my contract, no bother says I, a year or two ago I'd have told them to get f***ed.

thanks for the replys. spar lol, no its spa manager. anyways she does everything from hiring to firing, rotas, treatments, meetings once a week and meetings once a month with the rest of sister spas around the country, promotions, stock control, budgets, forcasting two months in advance, advertising, secret shopping etc. basically everything. she loves it so much and is so good at it and that's why she has being head hunted and this other spa is trying to pouche her. the job she is in is safe & that's because she works so hard and they know that. she has already taken 10% cut due to recession b0llix.
