    Hi folks,

Hope this is the right forum to ask this in, if not, please move it :)

There's some water damage visible in an upstairs bedroom from a leaking chimney. Got the chimney sorted now, but the water mark on the wall still shows up despite numerous coats of ordinary paint. What should I be using? Plastered shared block wall if that's any help.

    ATB,

    John

    Hi John,

You can buy a primer or else you could buy some undercoat gloss paint and this will cover stain.
Then paint over it when dry, with ordinary emulision paint and that should do the trick.

Yes I agree with the above. The expensive way is BIN stain killer . Its meth based , dries fast and you paint over it with emulsion, Cheap solution is yo coat it with oil based undercoat ant finish with emulsion when dry. Good luck,
