BioShock Infinate..............let the excitment and build up begin. I'm really excited to hear about this game as i just absolutely loved the first 2 and adored the scenery and settings of the underwater Rapture. But now it seems to be pre-Rapture in a floating city in the sky called Columbia.
The game is not due until 2012 but IGN have a video and write up about the Demo they were showed.

Wow that looks class! Loved the 1st game, never played the 2nd tho. This looks refreshing tho!

Wow, impressive! Bioshock 2 was good, but they've explored Rapture. Moving on is a welcome announcement. New city seems built on different ideals - it looks far wealthier than Rapture, almost fairytale like - so hopefully they'll lay on the social commentary. A brutal dissection of the American Dream and democracy? Yes please.

    That looks fantastic!!

I loved the first two but definitely think that the change of environment is nice.

It's visually spectacular in the trailer. Can't wait to see some in game video.

Definitely excited about this, although it's gonna be some time before it's out.... I almost wish they didn't put the trailer out so early. It's too far away!

Should be good but don't know if it's worth putting it in the Bioshock series? There's surely no way they can fit in Adam/EVE/Plasmids logically considering they come from slugs at the bottom of the sea unless they just shoehorn them in.

The floating city seems pretty cool, and a change of pace from Rapture will be nice, but don't really see how it ties in with the Bioshock world...

I have to agree about the adam and eve things.

Seems to me that their just using the well established Bioshock name to do an experiment they've had lined up. I just hope they don't ruin my beloved Bioshock

When you read about the demo they said there's a tonic for controlling the crows. Maybe they'll just say there's other ingredients with (Magical) plasmid like qualities?

It's definitely gonna have powers, but you're right in that they can't really use Adam.
I still think that the fact that there will be those kind of power-ups and that there are Big Daddy type enemies put it in the Bioshock world.

I think it's good that they are keeping the name but changing it to a different environment. As Johnny Ultimate said, they've done all they can with Rapture. This will be a very nice change while still preserving the traits of Bioshock such as the social commentary and stunning visuals.
