The hotmail/gmail email accounts would worry me.. Most companies carrying that level of expensive stock would have vanity domains (not all though)..

Can they provide you a valid registered VAT number that checks out? Or offer Cash-On-Delivery service through the delivery company?

    "For more inquiry please contact

    ******************* ******************** ************

Interested buyers should sound the following appointments:

    1.Quantity
    2.Model
    3.Location.

Thank you for your patronage in advance."

    Get real!
Hong Kong or China judging by the "far east style" English above.
If it's too good to be true it's not true.
You can find this sort of sh1t all over ebay.
As Welease said, if they are carrying that stock and are official Yamaha dealers, you can bet your ass they would have a website and proper non gmail email address.
A fool and his money are soon parted. Don't be that fool!.

    EDIT
Tried searching the phone number "+447011128437" in google.
    'Nuf said.

    scam

    http://www.brownbook.net/business/37660803/mail-boxes-etc

It's a postbox address... I recognized the address strangely.

And the web address is just a subsite of a 'make your own' webby that's untraceable also.

Nicely uncovered. I hear this happens a lot, it's cheap and easy to register as a company.

Yamaha uk got back to me with this message

I took a look at the web page you forwarded. I have no idea where they are, but it is undoubtedly a scam.
They are advertising product that was discontinued years ago so it may well be second-hand equipment and not new.

One thing to bear in mind, if you are buying from outside of the EU, any warranty will be voided.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Karl Christmas
    Deputy General Manager
    Yamaha Commercial Audio, UK.
