HiSense LED 40" 1080i LTDN40T28GUK and .MKV files

    Hi,

    I recently purchased the HiSense LED 40" 1080i LTDN40T28GUK TV and I am having trouble playing a full HD Video file from a USB stick.

    The user guide says that it supports movie file formats of AVI(encoding:H264, MPEG, Xvid), MKV while using the Digital Media Port (USB)

    The movie (In .MKV format) I have plays fine on my laptop using VLC so I know the file is ok, however when I try and view it through the USB port on my TV the sound doesnt work for some reason. The picture is fine though

    Would anybody have any ideas as to why this is?

    The file type is supported by the TV so i'm a little bit stumped
