Just looking through the app reviews on itunes app store, and it seems to me that every app has some faults. I'm talking primarily about gps/utility/travel apps.

Obv, I know not all apps will appeal to everyone, but surly there are a few "standard" apps that no one can give out about?

TBH, it's the review system that is more flawed IMO. You get some people leaving nasty reviews because they did something stupid or didn't read what the app does before purchasing, etc... and you also get positive reviews from shills as well. What the AppStore really needs is a proper "try before you buy" system, just like most PC/Mac apps these days. The reviews themselves are simply not enough to measure the quality (or lack of) of an app in most cases.

    Yeah.

I remember when Skype announced that they were going to charge for Skype over 3G loads of people left a one star rating to tell Skype where they can stick their charges.

Skype has since decided not to charge.;)
