Hmm I bought an ex-display Altec ipod dock yesterday in HMV in Dundrum for €108. Realised when I got home is missing the controls AND the power cable. *Sigh
You really get what you pay for...

Couldnt find either of those 2 in HMV Dundalk or Drogheda! Can anyone recommend other alarm docks?Must be able to play Ipod and Iphone and charge.Looking at max €40,thats why these 2 seemed good value. There was one in HMV Dundalk at €19.99,pretty small and basic, cant remember the brand but might do the job.

I was in HMV in scotch hall on friday and there was geansai loads of docks. At least 8 or 10 different types on sale. All on the right wall the second you walk in.

Thanks for that.Yeh,need one that will work with Ipod and Iphone. The one posted above also needs Iphone to be in airplane mode which I dont want as I want to be able to receive calls.Surely they all dont require this?Or is it just the cheap ones that require airplane mode?

Yeh Jim,I was in today but none of the ones the OP posted.I liked Gear4 crg-70w(second link above) but had neither of those.Might just get that €19.99 one I saw in Dundalk...if it was half decent!Hardly at that price!

Just been reading online that Iphone interfers with speakers of some of the alarm docks, unless they are shielded.Anyone have any experience of this?Is there interfence everytime Iphone rings or receives texts?

Beware, I recently got a gear4 street party iii dock which charges the Iphone, sounds good for the price and size BUT is unusable with the iPhone docked due to gsm interference. However has a line in socket so we use it like that (or iPhone in airplane mode). it's not just during calls or txt but all the time. If the device states iPhone compatible then your probably fine. google shielded iPhone docks.
