Replaced Potterton NetaHeat up for grabs

Just got our old Potterton NetaHeat replaced by a modern Baxi MegaFlo, so the old one is now looking for a new home. The contractor was unable to take it away so I still have it.
If anyone wants it (even just for spare parts), then let me know by PM and you can have it for a few quid. You'd have to collect it from me in the evening time in Dublin 15 though.
And yes it does work, but probably needs a serious maintenance session. It let us down in the nasty 09/10 winter but would work after a fashion using the manual override but confidence was shot in it after all that.
    Cheers, DaraghM.

you will be lucky to sell it.... I would consider someone doing you a favor taking it from you for free.

The only problems with boilers generally is the circuit board and this cost from 100 -400 euro. The older boilers tend to cost less....

If i was a plumber I would not fit a second hand circuit board as i could not guarantee it would meet regulations.

so i figure the boiler is worthless....

it will actually cost you money to get rid of it...

A fair point sir, but I hate seeing things going needlessly into landfill when far more often than you might think, someone might actually have a need or use for it for...something. Better than polluting the water table somewhere no?

Nearly every job I've done in the last few months ,travellers have taken the boiler from the front garden.
Last week they took a cast iron bath (intact) from the front of the house I was working in.

Under normal circumstances ,we use a professional rubbish removal guy. But in the last few months the above is happening.
I presume they are taking it as scrap ,so it does get recycled.
