07 Ford Mondeo or 06 Hyundai Coupe

I have an 07 Ford Mondeo Platinum , I paid 10,000 for it on finance and I have had it for about 18 months. I dont really need the big car any more and I've seen a really nice 2006 Hyundai Coupe from the dealer I bought the Mondeo from. The Coupe is for sale at 8750. Can anyone give any advice as to whether money wise I'd be better sticking with the Mondeo and carrying on the payments or would the finance be lower on the Coupe but I'd be starting from scratch again.
Basically would it be a good deal or would I be losing money ?

Mondeo, has to be the Mondeo! Think about it!

I do love the Mondeo ( this is the third I've had ) but I've no need for the bigger car now and was looking for something sportier.

Well the Hyundai, is far inferior to the Mondeo in build quality. The Hyundai will deprecieate a lot quicker and more then the Ford ever will.
If it was me, I'd stick with the Ford!

Thanks Jock , maybe you can recommend something sporty I can downsize to that would be a good deal. I've been stung before with cars and I'm terrified of making a wrong move. When I bought my Mondeo before this one I was told it had been a family car , when I came to trade it in the dealer looked into and said it was a taxi and nowhere would take it off me and I lost a sh*t load of money so I cant afford to lose out with this Mondeo as well.

I take it you've never drive a Hyundai Coupe. Sporty it ain't. The Mondeo is actually sportier in terms of handling and probably acceleration too. What's your budget?

You're going to lose a sh1tload of money on the finance settlement for the Mondeo if you trade too not to mention the crap trade in value you're going to get from the dealer. I'd stick with it if I were you.

A 2004 or 05 Mini One, probably for the value you will get for a 07 Mondeo. But I'd keep the Mondeo, It might be a big saloon. But its a good car. Well compared to a Hyundai Coupe!

What engine is in the Mondeo?

Sister has a hyundai coupe(04), it's a nice car but the dash is a bit soulless.
Also, while it 'feels' sporty, it really really isn't. Which suits most buyers.

Changing car will cost you money whatever you change to. You need to decide whether the looks of the Mondeo bother you enough to make the loss worthwhile.

    Tragedy , The Mondeo is a 1.8

Reading these replies I might take your advice and stick with the Mondeo , like I said I do love it I was only changing because I've no need for such a big car now. But you've all been very helpful. Thanks ;)

Mazda RX8 or a celica might be a good option here.
