Swimming and my hair :/

    Hey guys,

I swim quite a bit but I've noticed it's having an effect on my hair. My hair is very curly so it's naturally quite dry anyway but swimming is leaving it even drier. I'm also quite fair but I get highlights from time to time and it's leaving them duller too. Any tips/suggestions on products to use or how to protect my hair in other ways?

    Thanks :)

I swim a lot also, but I've got mad purple all over my head and the clorine wrecks it.
I've found that combing thru conditionor (the colour protect one) and popping on your swim cap does help.

I also apply conditioner when I get outta the pool and wash it out at home an hour or two later and it leaves my hair silky soft

+1 for the conditioner before swimming. I got a free one with a magazine at the start of the summer so that came in handy. I just bought argan oil so I'm going to give that a try when I run out of the free conditioner. I bought a travel size Mark Hill travel shampoo that's supposed to be good for getting chlorine out of your hair - not sure if I like it though. I had a kerastase shampoo before - Bain Apres Soleil it was way way better but a lot more expensive..I'll finish out the travel size bottle and save up for the kerastase stuff!
