Everest Base Camp versus 8 days in Nepal

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has done a trek to Everest Base camp. We have about 8 days, and we're thinking of doing it, but I can't help worrying that we'd be better off spending those 8 days seeing Nepal.

I might be wrong, but the Everest Base Camp thing, although probably good, sounds like a lot of trekking just to say you've been to Everest.

    Any opinions welcome.

I have done the Everest Base Camp Trek and I would highly recommend it. It is alot of trekking but worth every step when you get to BC. My only concern for you is that you have only 8 days. You could do it in this timescale but it would be tough going at that altitude and you wouldn't have much time for acclimitisation.

Maybe have a look at Annapurna which is slightly lower so you wouldn't need as much time. It's meant to just as stunning visually and you get all the trekking experience too!!

    Hope this helps!
