Hey! Myself and my boyfriend are hoping to get married next year and we've provisionally decided on The Carlton Hotel, Kinsale as our Ceremony and Reception Venue.. Has anyone got any reviews on the hotel either having held their Wedding their or been a guest at a Wedding there.
    Thanks.

Hi ya. I went to a wedding there a few months ago. Was a fabulous day. The couple got married in the city though so was a bit of a dose driving down there and we didnt stay the night as it was too expensive. The food and service was brilliant and the views are spectacular.
So my only fault would be if you are from the city having to stay there as its so expensive, and it is a fair bit outside of kinsale if you chose to stay in the town, so you would have to get cabs, and they seemed to be few and far between the night we were there.
But the hotel itself is gorgeous. Hope my rambling helps!!:D

Anyone have any updates on weddings in the Carlton in Kinsale? Looking at it as possible wedding venue for 2013.

I was there for a wedding over the summer and it was fab. Unfortunately the weather was bad on the day so we couldn't take full advantage of the decking area out the back but weather cleared after the meal so was lovely to pop out after the meal for some air. Loved the room, so much light. The food was fab and there was loads of it. We stayed in Kinsale as the rooms were a bit pricey as we needed to stay two nights. It was our first wedding after getting engaged so I was taking notes!!
