Sometimes the Acca website can be hard to navigate. Ive completed F8 adn awaiting results (fingers crossed i pass ;)) anyways i havent done the modules in order so next on the list is F7 & F9 do i have to wait til ive completed/pasted these before I can start the Research and Analysis Project? Can i do all my exams and come back to the project once I pass within the ten years or how often do the titles change? im a bit confused i suppose best option would be to email acca and ask for details but any feedback would be appreciated :) also is it difficult to pass like is it to much to take on exams and project together i know there is different deadlines but still. thanks

ACCA ran an open day last year, and whilst I can't remember all the details. I do recall they said that a large part of your grade for the research project was based on your results from F4-F9, with a smaller percentage given to the project itself. You also must have completed F4-F9 as well as the ethics module before you can attempt the project.

I think you can choose to do the project at any stage of your studies - and even once you've finished studying you still can. There are two sittings each calender year.

As for the difficulty, I don't imagine it would be a problem doing the project and other subjects.

Here is the link to info:

Ianuss' comments are all correct and appear to answer most of your questions.

The "Eligibility" option from the side menu provides all the info you need regarding times and requirements. You don't mention it but I assume you are "opted in", which is the automatic option? - see this section if not sure.

I attended an info evening and all the stuff is covered on the site but it was worth the 2 hours IMO, maybe contact ACCA and see if they have more coming up?
At that evening they gave no indication that there is an intention to change or rotate titles; this does not mean they may not do so in the future.
E.g. They spoke of individuals who prepared a project for a May sitting and were unsuccessful, but only had to revise it and resubmit the same project. As results take so long to issue, they were allowing for the resubmission of work the following May, not immediately in November; so even if you were thinking about doing some work in advance it should still be valid in a year-year and a half if that is your plan, however this is a question for ACCA/Oxford Brookes.

If you average 68% or over in F4-F9 results your grade in the project is inconsequential - you get a 1.1 degree as long as you pass.
If you average 66-67% in these you can get a 1.1 or a 2.1
If you average 60-65% in these you can only get a 2.1
If you average 58-59% in these you can get 2.1 or a 2.2
If you average 54-57% in these you can only get a 2.2
If you average 53% in these you can get a 2.2 or a third
If you average 50-52% in these you get a third

    Hope this helps.

    Ari

Thanks ianuss and ari101 for both of these replys, both have really helped to clear up alot of my question. An information evening sounds like it would be helpful to lay things out clearly. Nervously awaiting my exam results now I had kinda assumed the result was only based on F7-F9 as you have to be opted into the degree before attempting these papers.Oupies i should have worked hardier try keep the average up :( better be uber focused for the next ones.

You need to pass all papers from F1 to F9 to be eligible to apply for the BSC Applied Accounting Degree
