well mine is just gone in now. they said they look at the grants around the middle of august so im guessing since yours is in early it will be one of the first to be looked at. im sure it will be within the first two weeks of September when you find out. do you think youll get it??

if your elligible then i wouldnt worry. if its the fees your worried about just ring up admissions and tell them your waiting for the grant. theyll be ok with it. they give alot of ley way for students when it comes to reg fees

I went in today to confirm my registration, and I brought the letter stating my application is being processed. Reception desk accepted that was proof I have applied, and check the records for proof that I recieved a grant for 1st Year before. At the moment I'm temporarily registered, so I just bring in the confirmation letter once I get it.
    Which better be frickin soon.

I got a letter today with a number, and confirming they have received my application? How long were you waiting?

The first installment usually doesn't come in until October sometime. It depends on the county too. Some are much slower than others. I've also heard of students getting a loan from the banks to cover the registration with the promise of a grant to pay it. If you speak with AIB on campus or whichever bank you deal with I'm sure they have packages.
