I was shocked to find our that 3 have no data roaming agreement in Spain. Tens of thousands of 3's customers travel there every year so you'd think it would one of the first countries they'd sign up.

Are there an other major gaps in their data roaming coverage ?

What are their data roaming charges like ? No rates on the website.

In all fairness, the fact that that have it in any country is pretty good. It's not a standard thing to be allowed use your minuted and data outside your own country so fair play to them.

Although I am also going to Spain in 3 weeks so it would be pretty sweet.

I'm not asking to be allowed use my minutes and data bundle, I'm asking to be allowed use (and pay for) data which isn't an option in Spain.

Data Roaming is probably not high on they're list. Cost is just to high, and the amount of complains they would get from people with huge bills.

Seems like a lot of stuff isn't high on their list but if you're travelling for work, data roaming is important.

I'm heading to the US for two and a half weeks in September, and they don't have any roaming deals over there. It looks like I will have to jailbreak (if 3 won't unlock the phone for me) and get a prepay simcard while I'm over there. Data is CRAZY expensive on pre-pay, like 20 dollars for 150mb!

Unless somebody has a better idea?

You mean you can't even just use Data roaming and pay the crazy charges? I thought that was worldwide. My bad.

    Exactly.

I wouldn't mind if it was somewhere obscure, but Spain ffs! After the UK, it's probably the most visited country for Irish people.

Guys if yout checking their site ignore it. They must be updating it. Data roaming is available in Spain through Orange & Vodafone. Also roaming in the USA is available with AT&T and T-Mobile IIRC.

I tried that and bought a PAYG AT&T sim on eBay, loaded it up with $20 only to find out I need a contract to avail of their data usage. Check it out.
