    Folks,

I have aquired a few acres of medium quality grazing land.

I am thinking of buying a 10/15 cattle next spring and selling them in the harvest.

My parents have the use of this land at the moment and as it could easily accomodate upto 50 head of stock I want to ensure they have the use of it next year also. So effectivly my plan is to allow my cattle to run with theirs.

Can I include my name in their herd number for testing purposes?

I don't think you can. If you buy 10 - 15 cattle next spring, you will have to put them in to their herd number and under their name. There really is no difference who's name the cattle are under anyway, so long as they are tested etc. The only problem that you will encounter will be for incom tax purposes, but your accountant will sort that out easily for you.
