If their budget will take it get ones custom made in stainless: I do this, up to 4 interconnected trapezium shaped tanks in attic space with feed at one end and outlets at the other with 1" connecting between

A pressurised cylinder relies on water to be pumped into it as
you know so what you need to do is fit as many smaller tanks up there as you can. these will be then connected together with 1.1/4" pipe at the top and bottom below the ballcock waterline

If you cannot get more capacity you will have to mount a tank outside your house and pump the water up with a sump pump or something of that nature.....

The plumber that you got to put in the attic tank should have survayed the job and advised you of this...

If you have the lenght in the attic ,it's possible to put in another tank and have the feeds on the furthest one ,ballcock near the opening.

Some of these small narrow attics have joists that are not supported by the outside walls though ,they are only nailed to the roof beams.
You'll know what I'm talking about ,the bedroom ceilings will all have a slanted finish to the outside walls.

If it is the case ,you have to support the attic joists from apex of the roof beams.

If its plastic it will be fine if its metal it will have to be replaced... It can be a bitch to remove...

Sounds like something you'd have to see. What if the non-return fails ? ,your going to have two ballcocks feeding the smaller overflow.
Your non-return valve will not open if the smaller tank is lower than the bigger one ,you need a head of water to keep it open.

Never tried anything like that to be honest ,I wouldn't rely on non-return valves for anything like that.
