Hi, I was thinking of trying these out but I'm not sure which of the girls I should go for! I would like them to look as natural as possible. Has anyone tried these before? Are they any good? Are they difficult to put on? And which ones would you recommend?

Love them. Personally I use the Sarah, Nadine or Kimberley ones.. kimberleys always seem in short supply so maybe they are most popular??

Thanks ladymaybelle! Yeah I read somewhere that Nadine's are the most natural of the 5 so it might be a good idea to try those out first and see how I get on! I also heard that the glue isn't so good?

I'd recommend the MAC glue. It's about €10 or €11 for a tube, but lasts for ages. It smells vile, but works a charm!

I use the Sarah lashes, they're dramatic without being too much methinks. :)

I find the glue fine tbh, but takes a good bit of practice. I went thru a stage of wearing them every night I went out and became a dab hand. Sarah's are my fave.

Kimberleys or Nadines for starters...the most natural looking. Once you get the hang of them Sarahs look great on nights out.I think Cheryls are OTT presonally.

Thanks for all your advice! I think I'm going to start off with Nadine's or Kimberley's and see how I get on! I would like to try Sarah's for a night out once I have had some practice with the others!
I heard Cheryls look very obviously fake which is not the look I want to achieve but hey I might try them for a fancy dress night out sometime!

I usually get the Kimberly ones, think they look a bit more natural than the others.

Wonder if they'll take Nadine's off the market now that she's no longer in Girls Aloud.

I think Nadines are the most natural looking out of the GA collection but I adore Sarahs.

Also - get the duo glue from MAC. The ones you get with the lashes aren't so good.

Thanks Storminateacup, do you know by any chance if there is anywhere else in Dublin City centre that stocks MAC products apart from BT's on Grafton Street?

I'm not all that familiar with shops outside of the city but I do believe there's a MAC counter in dundrum (I think). MAC is exclusive to BTs though - unless your at the airport!!

I'm just too lazy to walk up to Grafton Street! I work on the other side of town, near Henry Street. I suppose the walk would do me the world of good!

I got the Cheryl ones last week for the first time - did my eyes really really dark so they didn't look too bad.

Had no problems with the glue either, they stayed on all night.

    Was very impressed!

I see what you mean MissIt, I suppose whoever's lashes you choose is determined by how you plan to do your eye make up.

I'v tried all the girls aloud lashes and definitely Kimberelys ones are the best and the glue is very good i find. This is how i put them on, Do ur eye make up as usual put on your eyeshadow and mascara, i measure the lash up against mine and make sure its the same length u might want to cut a lash or two depending. Then put on the glue and bend the lash in a C shape and let the glue dry for 60 seconds. Then place it near as yoou can to ur lash line. Get ur twezzers to push them down onto ur lash line, starting from the outside in. It feels funny for a minute but u don't feels them on u once they set. Go over the lash line with liquid eyeliner to conceal the glue but if u wear dark eyeshadow like blues and greys u won't need to be precise with the eyeliner and can even use pencil which is easier

Some great tips there abi sant clare. I suppose the more practice you have a putting them on the easier it gets! Can't wait to try them out now! Anyone any idea how much they cost in Boots?!

Saw the festival girls aloud lashes in boots today reduced to €2.49:) This was in Mahon point but I would imagine all stores have them reduced. Not interested myself (no where to wear them!) but I remembered this thread when in there. I can't remember the price of the normal ones though.

Mine cost me 6.49 when I pick them up in my local chemist.
AFAIK, river island do them cheaper than chemists

Great tips there. It would never have occured to me to put my mascara on first! I am tempted to try fake lashes for the first time, are the Girls Aloud ones good ones to start with?

^ I think maybe it would be easier to start off with shorter lashes. So maybe cheryls would be the best to start off with.
Oh LA LA lashes from LA Makeup are pretty amazing too.

I have worn both Kimberley's and Nicola's, and I loved both, but I think Nicola's look more natural and fluttery!

Oh I found them to be waaaaaay OTT for me - and I love dramatic eyes!

I think it's Nadine's and Kimberley's that I usually use. Haven't bothered in ages though. Have found that Diorshow Extase mascara does pretty much the same job. :)

The glue you're looking for isn't by MAC it's by a brand called Duo..it's just stocked in MAC. You can also get it in Make Up Forever, One Lash Bar + salon services

They're fab! The only thing I'll say is I had Cheryl's ones on recently and they were really heavy on my eyes, they're super dramatic so definitely only wear them for a special occasion!
