Hugh Laurie deserves the $400,000 a episode. He always gives a great performance. $1.25 Million for Sheen and $500,000 for Cryer? Ridiculous amount for a ridiculous show.

iCarley girl getting $180,000 while the starts of Glee not event getting half that per show. I know they are on different networks but surely Glee gets the same, if not more, ratings than iCarley?

Anna Paquin (True Blood ) $75,000 an episode

she deserves so much more than this yet charlie sheen gets $1.25m for his shíte show

iCarly gets huge ratings for Nick, probably it's most successful show, the key demos are massive, so i see why she gets that cash. I bet Glee stars will get more when the contacts get renewed.

can't believe that one either! - he got paid $875,000 last year
thought cast of glee might have got more but i suppose its only the first season

also jim parsons should be getting more than kaley and johnny in the big bang theory. he's the star imo

compare the figures for last year to the same people some got a very high pay rise like charlie sheen

It's basically a who's who of people that were kinda big in the 80's and 90's.

Jake gets 250,000 grand....for doing shag all, fair play to him...it's not like that kid is gonna get work after 2.5 Men ends, he'll blow it all on escorts and trips to Vegas :-)

Ha fair play to him indeed, in fairness though his character is funnier than Sheen's in the show. It must get brilliant ratings, but I really don't see how.

How can "Two and a Half Men" deserve such high salaries? 3 times what Hugh Laurie gets? What the hell? "House" is a longer, more involved and demanding show and also is a Top 10 show in the US. Why such a massive gap?!

Other ones make no sense either (and I'm surprised to see how much O'Leary gets for the cable show "Rescue Me").

But seriously, I don't get "Two and a Half Men". Just why American, why.

Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) - $40,000 an episode

Wow, no wonder he's still in negotiations. That's a really big show, he should be earning twice that at least.

The amount Charlie Sheen gets is sickening, and those two twats from Law and Order are seriously overpaid too.

They deserve more and I expected Hamm to be on the same as Laurie tbh

The amount NBC pay a painfully unfunny man like Jay Leno is ridiculous. Then we have Conan, who is by far the best talent among all the American late night hosts, relegated to the networks. But I guess 10mil a year is not to be scoffed at D:

Given the amount of money that Glee makes as a show the cast deserve a lot more than they are getting imo.

Charlie Sheen! What the hell? Ridiculous.

Hugh Lauire, yup, that's cool with me, same for Mark Harmon in NCIS.

I'm surprised that the guys from Modern Family aren't getting more but then again the next series will really tell how long the show can continue for.

I'm surprised there's no mention of Alec Baldwin? I'd have thought he'd earn a fair bit for 30 Rock.

    Also
Nicole "Snookie" Polizzi (Jersey Shore) - $30,000 an episode

And clearly gay...come ot Ryan, come out!!

5 of those really stick out for me:

Ryan Seacrest (American Idol) - $15 million a year (because he just seems like somebody I couldn't like. In fact, I'm certain he's a prick)

Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly) - $180,000 an episode (because she's only a young girl and will likely turn out to be a self-important wee fucker)

Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) - $1.25 million an episode (because, like somebody said, he's basically getting paid to act as himself! Even if it is a very popular sitcom and the market somehow dictates that he's entitled to earnings of that level, it still seems like too much! Maybe half a million would be enough)

Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) - $550,000 an episode (I'd say he should be entitled to about half of that)

Angus T. Jones (Two and a Half Men) - $250,000 an episode (It just seems like an enormous amount of money for a kid his age)

And obviously Oprah, who gets a simply ridiculous sum of money.

Looking at the list and the gap between some of the pay scales is huge, it's disgraceful that Charlie Sheen will get nearly 30 million dollars for the next season of 2 and a Half Men yet many veteran actors work for next to nothing.

There are a few names on the list who are more than deserving their pay cheque, nice to see veteran actors such as Smits and Selleck getting well rewarded for their work. It's also nice to see people like Cole Hauser and Timothy Olyphant being well paid though tbh I would much prefer to see the names below getting a pay rise.

Jimmy Smits (Outlaw) - $150,000 an episode
Tom Selleck (Blue Bloods) - $125,000 an episode
Cole Hauser (Chase) - $100,000 an episode
Mark Harmon (NCIS) - $375,000 an episode
Kyra Sedwick (The Closer) - $350,000 an episode
Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) - $200,000 an episode
Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds) - $125,000 an episode
Nathan Fillion (Castle) - $100,000 an episode
Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds) - $100,000 an episode
Timothy Olyphant (Justified) - $100,000 an episode

It must be really frustrating to work on the set of a show such as 2 and a Half Men and realise that while you earn a few hundred dollars a week, Sheen is pocketing a few million. A lot of the higher paid actors could take a leaf out of Keanu Reeves book, he gave away most of his pay cheque from the Matrix sequels to the behinds the scenes people. When asked why, he simply say that he had enough money.

The most shocking figure on the list for me, isnt Charlie Sheen's pay cheque but rather the 400 thousand per epsidoe that Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner each receive for the Simpsons. It really is quite astounding.

Is that Ryan Seacrest's earnings from just American Idol? He also has a radio show in America so add another few thousand on top of that.

^ Seacrest has sticky fingers in alot of pies, he has his own production company and makes shows for E!, still think he's gay.

**** me who needs movies when you can make a TV series in Hollywood for a few years?
You can see why many Brits (and the odd Irishman) seek out a gig. Mind you none of them come close to Robert Mitchum for Winds of War 1983 1,250,000 dollars for a mini series. About 8 million in todays scaled up Hollywood inflation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,533 ✭✭✭don ramo

sheen is on a ridiculus wage, i watch 2.5 men, it has it moments, but dear god what are the networks thinking keeping this show on the air, its had a fair old run now going onto season 8, they could easily cancel it, and the other two also, that 2 million for 3 people on the show, with one getting about 60% to himself,

and then you have the big bang theory, a funnier show with the top 3 actors getting 160,000 between them, WTF

also levi from chuck is only getting a paltry 60,000 an episode with no other cast memebers mentioned, how is it that someone on a network show (levi) get paid less than someone on PPV channel, such as anna paquin on true blood, who gets 75,000 an episode, which she is also severly underpaid for such a popular show, where does the money go,

weird to that patick dempsey is mentioned in the list, and ellen pompeo isnt, and the show is called greys anatomy,

and patrick warbutton is paid more that hes other funnier half on rule of engagment,

also if anyone would have a list of some of the sci-fi actors would be great to see what the like of robert carlyle is on for shows like stargate,

Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) - $550,000 an episode
.......seriously 1.25 million, that is just disgusting.............

maybe its cause i am not a fan of the show. Charlie comes in and basically act like himself and gets that kinda money when you have an actor like John Hamm, who is playing one of the most intense and brilliant characters on tv making 1.15 million less AN EPISODE! He should be up there with Laurie I think...Also you see new shows starting (like Hawaii - 50) and they are on the same wage as Hamm (clearly i like John Hamm :D)

I give hands up to Hugh Laurie, he is fantastic in his role and always does a good performance and Denis Leary deserves any wage he gets (i think he was on 375k)

does it have to do with the network aswell and stuff? like Mad Men (AMC) v 2.5 Men (CBS)

either way we'll never see a pick of it :(
