    Ok iv bought a second hand AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200, with a Thermaltake tr2 r1 heatsink.
I installed it and it instantly started overheating.
I havnt gone past the bios because I was checking temperatures, it goes from 25'-55'c in 2 mins
I used thermal paste and checked all the fans are working.
I reset my bios just incase there were any voltage problems.
I tried my original heatsink but the temperature continued to rise.
I put in my original cpu and it worked perfect.
    Any ideas?
Do you think the cpu is fu*ked?
