Hows your summer been?

Well folks the summers end is only a few weeks away. Before you know it we'll all be sniffing glue in an attempt to escape the usual mindnumbing bombardment of premature christmas ads.

What can i say its been a poor enough summer for myself, not terrible but nothing great either. Got away on a good few weekend camping trips but most of them were foiled with our cnut of weather system. Whatever way ya cut it, its plain sh!te being stuck in a tent when its pissing rain.
Had a few decent weekends but i really do mean 2 or 3 so generally a poor enough summer.

Well has your summer been good or bad?

Relatively good for the most part. Enjoyed parts of it other parts I didn't. Had some fun times too. Chilling out on the beach was the best of the summer other than a few trips away. Just that the summer has slogged on a bit. Reasonable summer weather despite rain of course when you didn't want it to rain! Other than that was kinda boring.

Its been shíte so far.

Done nothing really. Highlight was heading to Galway for 2 days and that was it.

Fairly ****e, **** all money, repeat exam hanging over me, mates having babies and in doing so having complete personality transplants. **** all people to talk to, no idea whether I'll be going back to college next month, don't get the results of my exam 'til the morning I'm supposed to start second year.

I do have my health though, I also quit smoking and am losing loads of weight due to batin' the roads out of sheer boredom.

Every cloud and all that rot.

But it's all done now. 2 months until I start my job.

I'v actually had a great summer this year, best for a few years and the weather compared to the last few summers, has been quite good!!

Been camping with friends twice, another friend bought a cheap caravan and we went to the Galway Arts festival (stayed at a campsite in Spiddal that only cost €30 for the night for 5 of us - Bargain)!! Also went to Bump Muzik festival which I got a free ticket for, went to Indiependence festival where tickets only cost €79 for the whole weekend..... Had a fantastic time at both!!

Going to England on Thursday for the weekend, cos my school reunion is on Saturday, and I have Electric Picnic to look forward to at the beginning of September.

Honestly, this is the best summer I've had in about 10years:cool:

Reading over what I'v done this summer, it seems as though I'm rolling in money. I'm actually not, I have less money this year than I'v had previously but I did everything on the cheap.... Didn't go mad drinking in Galway, we just bought a box of bud and shared it between us in the caravan. Took cans to the festivals/camping and didn't buy burgers and shit. Got cheap flights/accommodation for England (whole weekend is only costing €175 + spending money). The dearest thing I bought was my Electric Picnic ticket, and I bought that 6 months ago.

Proves you don't have to be rolling in money to have fun!!

Loads of work done on the house which i have been meaning to do for yonks. Got a great pay rise at work.

Great times with the family , Grandson started to string his sentances together , he is 2.

Met a couple of nice people

And have made a good friend methinks. :cool:

Best of all brother is out of prison , God I missed him. The good times are back.
