    Hey everyone,

I am thinking/planning on spending the 3 months of summer in Paris, France next year. I would ideally like to get a job, earn some money, learn french and enjoy myself.
Has anyone here done this before? I'd love to hear of your experiences or any info or advice at all that you might have!
    Please reply or PM, Thanks!

There used to be courses you could do where you get a placement afterwards in a hotel or something

USIT used to do them, but stopped a few years back. Might be worth look into though

Do you speak any French already?

    Hey OP,
Your best chance at getting a job would be through th Irish pub scene, theyare usually looking for bartenders but that was a couple of years ago so things may have changed.
Lived in Paris for 2 yrs,its great in the summer but having spent a lot of time there I would never move back.
Do not want to give you a negative view of life in Paris bu it can be very difficult and full of red tape.
If you do not secure employment before you go make sure you have a bit of cash with you to survive a couple of weeks in hostels etc as it is a very expensive city when you are new to it.
Weather is good for the most part and you will not get bored during your 3 months,if you want to learn French you should maybe look at other French cities further south besides Paris as I think the chances of securing a job short time in a French speaking environment may be more favourable further south.
Have you given any thought to harvest work or woofing around France?

I was thinking of doing what the OP is considering next summer. I just need to save up! So hopefully this thread gets more replies.
beagle001, woofing sounds interesting. I might set up an account.
