    Which of these 1.6 diesel will hol their value best to resell in 3/4 yrs time - Mazda 3, Ford Focus, Astra

    Focus I would say. You should check first how much each costs to buy as there could be a couple of grand difference new.

    Best price seems to be on Focus but worried that a late 2010 wouldn't resell well if new 2011 model is good?

    Out of those, the Focus.

    But do yourself a favour and buy a Golf instead. That should hold its value much better compared to any of the above, and for not much more outlay in the first place.

    Ya hoping to get down to VW garage in next couple of days for test drive so thats another possibility
