Good singer wants 2 start up band who r interested n O Brother where Art Thou style music also, Nanci Griffith/Irish Trad/Paul Brady/Patsy Cline/Blues etc.

I love this kind of music, am looking for some one else who likes to harmonise vocals and can play guitar. I live near Blarney/Macroom area. Hope others out there who would like to meet up and hopefully form a band and go gigging if not for money then for the craic. Winters coming and id like to start up something ASAP.

Hard times here and everywhere you go, times are harder than ever before, and the people are drifting from door to door, cant find no heaven, no matter where they go...

Hi, I really love that song you quoted :) I would love to do some vocal harmonies and I play guitar, but I'm not sure where Blarney is? I live in Wicklow anyway, is this miles away?

It's here. I'd say it's a bit of a hike from Wicklow but I don't know how long as I've never travelled that route.

With Malice aforethought, surely it's a pre-requisite for all moderators to have been to Blarney and not just kiss the stone, but swallow it in order that they may gain it's magic charms (the gift of eloquence) and are never lost for words!

I've been to Blarney. Well, I drive past it whenever I'm heading home to Galway on a Friday evening but I have no need to do anything to that silly stone. I'm already charming enough :pac:.
