Laptop AC adaptor port

I have a HP Pavillion DV9500. It seems the port for the AC adaptor (the jack where you stick the plug in, in case I'm calling it the wrong thing!) has come loose, and now the laptop cannot get power and therefore wont turn on, now that the battery has drained. I've tried opening the laptop to fix this myself, but it's beyond my skills. I'm going to have to bring it into PC World to get it fixed. Does anyone have any idea what I might be paying for this service? Thanks in advance.
