From what I hear the industry is on its knees at present. If you do not have contracts in place or a regular client list it will be hard to break into. There were a lot of specialist fibre splicers knocking around at the height of the boom. There was even a crew from SA here.

I do know of a guy who is a registered City & Guilds trainer. I can ask him if he is seeing a demand for fibre training at present if you like?

    Cheers “thegen”
I would appreciate it if you could ask your friend what the demand and job prospects are as I cant afford to waste time and money and at the end have no job opportunities after it, I used to work as a field and network tech installing and commissioning kit but looking at any recruitment agencies their doesn’t seem to be a lot out there of any thing

    thanks

    Smokey,

Spoke with my mate and he informs me there is very little happening in the industry. He has given one course in 12 months and done a couple of termination jobs himself. Not where you want to be it seems.
