This is so ridiculous its funny, emma (1 year) has been eating liga and other such biscuits from when she was 6 months and has never so much as coughed on one,

now i can no longer buy them for her (and me) for breakfast!

next it will probally be rusks, then those powder baby foods (sure they could eat them straight from the box and choke on the powder!) or the milk (sure they could drown)

as long as you supervise your child when they are young and eating (like you are supposed to anyway) its fine....why not just put a warning out to only use them with liquid, why the drastic short notice re-call??? :(

is anyone else annoyed by this?

Not really... it's only the Liga in the red box that have been recalled... you can buy 9+ month Liga in a purple box (Tesco/Dunnes etc). They're not square, two teddy bear shapes stuck together and to be honest my daughter likes them a lot better than the red square ones.

hmmm...maybe my family are just weird but me and my sister agree the 9months (purple) and blue ones don't taste the same in milk....

Oh my one won't even eat them with milk. Besides they're just rebranding them to reflect that face that under nine months should only be given it mixed with milk. They'll be back on the market soon with different feeding instructions.

It does seem a bit drastic. I have been giving them to my son in their biscuit form since he was six months old (we did blw) without a problem. He doesn't like the others and they are soo very handy when your out to keep him quiet I hope they are back on the shelves asap as we have none left.

They have been on the market for donkeys years. Why is it only a problem now?

I guess in the past parents would just clatter their kids on the back and make them cough it up. Nowadays our bundles are far too precious for that so we'd rather sue.
