Just heard this on the wires now apparently,Ted Stevens and ex Nasa head Sean o keefe are believed to have been passangers in a plance that crashed near Dillingham Alaska.
Stevens was one of the longest serving senators in u.s history serving Alaska for over 40 years. Stevens is a true Alaskan die hard.

It's a cover up, O'Keefe worked for Nasa and knew too much about the aliens.
    He had to be silenced.

    More detail of other passangers
Keith's 1:20 PM EDT: I have confirmed that former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe was aboard the plane with one of his two sons. In addition, I am told by reliable sources that two of Sen. Stevens' friends where on also board - one accompanied by his son, the other by his daughter. Bad weather and the remote location of the crash site are hampering efforts. In addition, local sunrise was at 6:41 AM local time (10:41 am EDT). I am told that a rescue helicopter as taken two of the most seriously injured survivors out for treatment while the other two with lesser injuries remained behind for the time being. I am awaiting further updates.

They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the Internet. And again, the Internet is not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand, those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material.

    What a man.

Another of stevens' finest moments was the "bridge to nowhere".

A $400 million bridge connecting an island with 50 people on it to the mainline. After Hurricane Katrine stephens refused to allow any of the cash to be used for disaster relief.

You are talking about the town of Ketchikan in south East Alaska, one of the most beautiful towns i have ever had the pleasure to live in ( lived there for 5 weeks) great people and a great place and why shouldn't Ted Stevens of sought to get the people that bridge, you have to understand that the rest of America doesnt like Alaska, i bet if you looked up projects in the U.S.A that there was a lot less worth causes getting money than that bridge, but the media in the lower 48 like to give out about Alaska the people and there lifestlye and that is the simple facts about that.

Nothing and the people of the town are more than happy taking the ferry, but that's not the issue, what im trying to say is that the lower 48 media like to snipe at anything got to do with Alaska, for the most part the media in the lower 48 dont like the people or the freedom the people in Alaska have.

Oh give me a break this isnt a lower48 issue. thats the excuse stevens has been using for years.

Trying to make out the ethics violations he's committed are only prosecuted because people dont like alaska. yeah right.

That he refused to allow funds to be used for disaster relief in New Orleans stands by itself as selfish racist sleeze.

    *yawn*

Sure he's just a regular down home backwoods corrupt politician but because he's from Alaska where its rugged and cold we should forgive him.

WASHINGTON — Senator Ted Stevens, Alaska’s dominant political figure for more than four decades, was found guilty on Monday by a jury of violating federal ethics laws for failing to report tens of thousands of dollars in gifts and services he had received from friends.

Yawn and double Yawn, what is your problem with Alaska and the Alaskan people?
I will find you many stupid projects that have been green lighted by other states that cost away more and are more useless than the so called bridge to nowhere. Aww but wait dont let your ignorance and Jealousy get in the way of your agenda.
Sounds like you are Jealous of the many fine people who live and have moved to Alaska from many parts of the world for its freedom and independence.

The Sarah Palin School of Politics.

    Orwell would be proud.

I've insulted a sleezy dead ethically challenged ex-politician and you take it to be an attack on Alaska?

ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

Its sounds that way to you does it?

You're defending a corrupt politician not on the merits but by claiming I'm jealous of Alaska?

You'd defend george bush by claiming I hate texas?

Or defend rush limbaugh by claiming I hate florida?

I was right about you being a Sarah Palin fan wasnt i? This is all straight out of her playbook.

If you stay in a place for 5 weeks can you say you lived there? I was on holidays before in Africa for 6 weeks but I would never say I lived there. That is all I have to say.

Oh yeah, and Ted Stevens was a complete and utter cnut..

What does another American have to say about Ted Stevens? Here's Tom Bodett, an author who lived in Alaska when Stevens was Senator. The Senator threw a D.C. welcome party for Tom during an early book tour.
I disagreed often, if not always, with Stevens' policy positions but I voted for him every six years and would have the last time too were I still an Alaska voter. I owed him that. A lot of Alaskans who disagreed with him felt the same way. However the world may remember him otherwise, Ted Stevens was a first rate politician and exactly right for the time and the place in which he lived.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
