Laptop Charger

    Plugged my laptop a/c adaptor into my laptop today and the light (green) went out!

    The laptop is not charging and I dont know what the problem is :(

    any ideas?

    Assuming the connector is ok then the power supply is probably borked.

    Either that or the fuse in the plug, couldn't hurt to start with that.

    Find a multimeter and test the tip.

    Try this...
    • Shut down laptop
    • Remove power cord
    • Remove battery from laptop and count to 10
    • Reload battery
    • Reconnect power cord
    • Reboot and see what happens

    Thanks for all the advice, got sorted yesterday :)

    Click.ie told me it was my motherboard :mad:

    I went to www.avova.ie in athlone, excellent to deal with, done the test on laptop found it was just needing a replacement charger, which he supplied to me for a discount!

    Super stuff, laptop working perfect now,
