    Hi,
I am interested in doing a beginners photography course this winter. I have a Canon D1000 SLR and the 2 lens IS kit. I'm living in Athlone and I heard that AIT and the Midland Camera Club both run courses. Does anyone have any experience of these courses or any other courses that are run in the midlands.
    Thanks,
    D

I did one in the Moate Community College...you'll find more info on their website. Highly recommended if you are just starting out in photography.

Any plans for an Advanced course? Where will you be holding the Beginner's course in Athlone? PM if you prefer. :)

    Digitalbeginner,
That looks like the perfect course for me. Is this the course run in AIT?
An advance course to follow this in Jan/Feb would be great too.
I'll PM you my details so you can add me to your mailing list.

    PM's replied to, many thanks.

This is our own course that we've run in Dublin for the past 4 years and have run it in Cork and Galway as well. We'll be using one of the hotels in the centre of Town. If we build up enough interest we'll gladly run our Improvers Course in January. It's all down to numbers though and the further you move away from the big population areas the harder it is to get the numbers.

    Thanks for the interest,

    Dave
