Hi everyone, looking for some advice,
I finally have my nails all the one length for the first time ever, I usually have very weak nails but as they're the same length now and stronger than usual I decided to get some Sally Hansen hard as nails clear polish to hopefully keep them that way as I have a wedding coming up in a couple of weeks and I was hoping to get a manicure in a salon done for that.....
    anyway my problem is this...
I put the polish on yesterday, a couple of coats and most of it has already come off, I have a young baby and use Milton antibacterial Hand gel probably 10 times a day (which contains 72% alcohol). Is this the reason all my polish has come off and is there any other nail hardener polish that would be resistant to an alcohol based hand wash?

    Thanks, any advice much appreciated!!

Nothing worse than polish chipping as soon as you've put the effort into applying it!
Some friends of mine are raving about the Shellac manicure that seems to be becoming increasingly popular. It stays on for about 14 days and is not harmful to the nails like gel nails could potentially be. One friend of mine has a young baba, so is like yourself, but said that it stayed on for about 20 days.

If you're in Dublin, you can check out creativespa.ie in Ballymount. I think it's about €30 there? And Buff Day Spa in Dublin 2 are doing it for about €35 at the mo!

    Hope this helps :D

definitely a shellac manicure or get bio-sculpture gel overlay on your nails either.... I got the biosculpture on mine which are very weak over 2 months ago & haven't had a broken / chipped nail since (I've obviously had it redone in the 2 months but I'm amazed that my nails are as long as they are) ;)
