    whats the story these days with vrting a commercial and a classic ie registered b4 1/1/80
    there was talk of it being done by the company that runs the nct has this happened yet , what are they checking is it engine/chassis numbers or is it specification of said vehicle against the v5

    When i imported mine, they didn't even bother looking at the car, they just took the V5 and issued me with a ZV number....

    I imported an OT 64 in June ,never even bothered to check chassis number

    NCTS will be doing VRT from 1st September. The chassis no. will be checked on every vehicle.

    So what about UK-sourced cars that were first used there before 1 August 1980 and may not necessarily have a VIN or chassis number attached to the car?
