    Hi
Can anyone tell me if they used more than 1 estate agent to sell a house.
What are the pros and cons of doing this?
Will estate agents accept that they are not the sole agent?

Any thought's would be of help.

    Thanks

Haven't done it myself but there seem to be a good few houses out there with more than one agent. I think it's more common outside of Dublin.

Pros for you would be a better scope of buyers, your house will be on more websites.

Cons you'll probably be paying double advertising costs.

I would say that you need to be on top of the agents and communicate well with them so a situation doesn't arise that they're both telling their clients that the house is theirs.

Most agents wouldn't mind not being the sole agents these days, it might make them work a bit harder for their cut?
