random thread i know sorry in advance
but does anyone know where john gardiners gets his boots??? i had a pair of those predators about 5/6 yrs ago and they were my favourite pair of boots ever. obviously with new versions of predators being released every year you can't get the old ones anymore. gardiner always has them though.

ebay could be the best bet, or contact adidas directly might be the best option

I can remember that there was a big room in Pairc Ui Rinn full of Adidas gear, including those boots, that was a couple of years ago anyway. Thats why the lads have them I reckon.

    Ebay-but they tend to be a rip-off.

predator mania i believe they were called. they are class alright way better than the current boots. ebay is the only place to get them. cadogan has them too and colm o'neill for the footballers.

maybe we can start a pressure group on adidas to reproduce these boots?!

thanks guys. i suppose the cork lads must have grabbed 7/8 pairs when they had the chance. wouldn't blame them. i wish i had invested in a few more pairs of them. they just don't make them like they used to!!!!!!!

As an aside, I remember checking out what boots the Kilkenny players were wearing during a match and almost all of them had either Puma Kings or Adidas World Cups. Old school ftw!:)

Agreed, easily the best around. I'd be worried that they'll eventually stop making them. Particularly for football, most soccer boots now are fairly unsuitable. I find the sideways lacing can affect the direction of the ball.

I'd say invest in a couple of pairs, think they are around €70 in heatons at the moment, same with the copas. I'm planning on getting a couple in case they do, annoyed I didn't get another pair or two of copas when they were €40!

Can't understand why they would ever have been €40! Thanks for the heads up-Heatons is a shop I'd never find myself in otherwise.

Heatons is surprisingly good for boots. I was working in Lifestyle for a couple of months a few years ago. They only sold Copa Mundials at the time but I found a random pair of World Cups out in the stock room. The only pair there and they were my size. Scanned them at the till and they were priced at €20. Great day!:pac:
