Hey guys, have some sort of infection which i can't seem to figure out.

I was playing a game on-line with one of my friends through direct-ip and had to turn off my firewall. When I exited the game I noticed my email scanner was reporting 2000 or so emails sent per min.I reactivated the firewall and shut down the offending processes but they keep restarting under different names. My net-stat has about 30 different items( which are all local addresses) and my email scanner keeps connecting to foreign ips.I ran a virus scan and it found 3 infections(an hour earlier it had nothing) which i removed but the problem is still there.I would really appreciate any help. Thanks

In the 2 mins or so i spent typing this I've sent just over 12000 emails

My PC has just blue screened twice in under ten minutes. I've been running 7 since the first beta and this is my first bsod. So I'm now typing this from Ubuntu.

    hi Sigi,

update your antivirus definitions if possible and do the following:

    - physically disconnect your PC from the internet
    - switch off system restore (Control Panel, System, System Protection)
    - reboot and keep tapping F8 until you get the Windows startup menu - select Safe Mode
    - run a full scan with your antivirus software and let your antivirus software repair or quarantine any infected files
    - leave PC disconnected from the internet
    - reboot normally and run another full scan
    - report back here with as much detail as possible

which antivirus product are you using?
