Making invitations, envelopes?

Hi I have got a fab template that I am making invitations with. It would make 3 invites from one A4 size card.
The thing is, I am worried about which size envelope to use. I think (correct me if Im wrong) that C6 takes a letter folded in 3, so I assumed that each invite would fit perfectly into an envelope, but the invites are smaller than the envelope. And it looks kind of cheap!
Can anyone give me any advice on what to do, please?

The link below is a handy reference for the most common envelope sizes and A4 paper folds that fit:

From the sounds of it your finished invites are flat 99x210mm folding over to 99x105mm. Possibly better looking at some square envelopes - or a different template?

    Good luck.

One third of an A4 sheet (a letter folded in 3) fits into a DL envelope.
One quarter of an A4 sheet (or A5 folded in half) fits into a C6 envelope.
