Is there much of a difference between the two apart from camera/flash/screen resolution

    Thanks

It's covered a million times on these forums if you search for it.

But there is a comparison down this page.

To your average user as you say apart from camera/flash/screen resolution there is no difference.

I have 3Gs and i have no intentions of upgrading to Iphone 4 as i feel there is nothing there to make it “must have” for me. I’m happy to skip this one and wait and see what Iphone 5 brings us next year.

If you don’t have 3Gs then i would say go for it.

I went from a 32gb 3gs to a 32gb 4, and from a software user experience point of view there's little difference. IOS4 is the same animal.

BUT, and there is a but, the hardware is freaking incredible. Even just holding it in your hand, it's much sexier, and feels like something from star trek. I find myself staring at the speaker/mic grills and other details. Having 2 microphones with noise cancellation is great with my line of work, and of course, the camera is incredible. I was going to by a Flip HD Camcorder, but I've no need now. Plus the retina screen which is something you just have to see in person.
