Im hoping for some suggestions on a party venue in Limerick. Ideally one which is located just outside the city center or that has easy accessible parking. It doesnt necessarily need to have a private room, maybe an area which can be sectioned off and reserved. I have seen some bars which are advertising deals such as free finger food ect. But if anybody has been to a certain pub or venue for a party and noticed a good set up can you let me know thanks.

yes its a good spot, but people are going to be driving so the car situation is a bit of a problem, leaving them ect. Plus its a mixture of a crowd (age wise)

I was at a party in the penthouse of the Clarion about 18months ago. Twas a bit different from your usual function room and had great views of the city, includes a bar and the birthday girl got to stay in the room for the night. Plenty of car parking nearby too.

===> Just saw your post about not wanting to hiring a room. The penthouse might not be the best idea in that case.:D

You are able to hire out the Pegasus suites in the Clarian for events such as parties etc.

The Highway is a good spot and I believe it os only 99e if you have 50 or more people, for that you get the room and grub plus a decorations

Try the ardhu bar on the ennis road, loads of parking and they section areas off for parties

The Unicorn in Dooradoyle is good for this sort of thing. You can also hire the small Chemist bar in Clohessy too if you want to stay central. I suppose it really depends on the age group of the party though.

Id say pegasus room may be a tad big for that. Aquilla on the ground floor is next to hotel bar. Glass walls over river and can smoke right outside it.
Used to work there (declaring ex-interests).

I'd pop ken o connell a PM and try for synotts in annacotty. lots of easy parking, and a great kitchen, and I've often seen them close off the top area for parties.

I wouldnt bother with the Hiway or Russells,Hi way gets a bit of a scummy crowd and both are owned by very dodgy people and have burned alot of people

Its just a small get together, group of family and friends. Some of your suggestions Im going looking at, I contacted Collins, waiting to hear back from them, want to know if they do music on Saturdays. Punches might be worth a look, but Id say its a quite place.
    Thinking of Synotts aswell.

    Hey LL,

I'll give you a PM with my number so you can give me a buzz, we can organise a section for you, some finger food and should be able to look after any special requirements you have. No charge for any of the above. Hope we can help.

    Best Regrds - Ken

The Sports Bar at the University Arena would supply finger food. Think they may do it for free if they knew there is a significant number going. Did for us, however we are staff in UL so don't know if that made the difference.

You should try Sinatra's (former Hi-Way)

They have a function/room/bar in the back with enough size for a generous gathering of friends. I was at a 21st there and thought it was a good spot, plus loads of parking
