Immersion Issue

    When I flick the switch for hot water Sink/Bath the light comes on however no water is heated on either setting just wondering if anyone could tell me what the problem might be????

    Either the thermostat or the immersion elements are gone.

    Cheers thanks for the reply.

    Should this be expensive to fix as someone has priced it for me already but has NOT actually looked at it and has told me it would be about €175. Mind you they did not mention that it would be replacing the thermostat or elements?

    If the immersion needs to be changed, you could get it done for €120 or €130 inc VAT. If it's the stat, about €60-€70 should cover it.

    Stat costs €8

    Immersion costs €25

    may be a thermal overload on the immerison just needs to be reset or the thermostat may be gone. check the top of the immerison see if there is a little button and push it down that will reset the overload( if fitted)
