I rang Galway CC and they told me the same thing, I wasn't entirely happy with that, what if they didn't do anything with it. I went to my local garda station, they were able to tell me the car has been re-registered under a new owner, the tax is dated from the 1st of the month of the month the offence took place. I since brought it to the dealership, keeping a copy and I will ring Galway CC in a week or two to make sure all is well.

I hope the new owner gets off as well, seen as how he had it back dated to before the offence.
