Episode Title: "Night on the Sun"

    SPOILER WARNING:

From now on, this thread shall reveal details of the episode mentioned above. If you have not yet seen this episode, please do not move any further down the thread.

A REMINDER ABOUT USE OF SPOILERS:

No discussion of future episode spoilers. That includes anything the writers may have revealed in interviews, podcasts, etc. Even behind spoiler tags they don't belong in this thread. Promos for next week shouldn't be posted in here either.

    TrueBloodCast.jpg

Summary : Alcide's family emergency leaves Sookie unprotected; Lafayette is surprised by a visit from his mom (Alfre Woodard); Sam has his hands full with Tommy; Jessica and Bill patch up their differences; Sophie-Anne moves into a new home; Jason makes a desperate move to save Crystal.

Well holy crap that was a good ending :p

If it wasn't for the sickly scenes between Sookie and Bill in which Moyer makes it clear again he can't act this could be so much better . . . . Not going to let that detract too much from what was a great episode and the best episode of the season to date.

Another brilliant episode. Eric finally begins to get some revenge on the King.

It was great to see more of Jessica in this episode. They haven't hard her enough in the past few episodes and she has been missed.

So what do we think Layfayette's "Power" is? Clearly there is more to Jesus than meets the eye.

I'm not too pleased that Sookie and Bill are back together. I just wish Bill would die, lol!

Well that break up didn't even manage to last an entire episode! :P

Bit more of a slow burner compared to the last few but that was to be expected after the pace of the last two episodes. Still a very good episode and things get interesting now, great ending Eric killing Talbot. The king might be ever so slightly p!ssed!

So I presume Crystal and the gang are werewolves then,or is there something else they might be? I liked how they could tell Sam was a shifter by his scent and Sam could tell they were...whatever they are.

    4 episodes left!

Hm, I'm not quite sure that Crystal and her family are werewolves, but that being said, what else could they be?

I'm delighted that we get to see more of Jessica and that her powers are getting stronger, finally! I'd like to see something happen between her and Tommy!

I'm aghast that there are only three episodes left this season though! What?

I'm left wondering what was the significance of Arlene's dream and will we ever see Franklin again?

Yeah another break-up/make-up between Sookie and Bill. sigh. Can't her and Alcide just get together already??

Damn though, what ever will Eric do next?! And how will The King exact revenge? I didn't mind Talbot but I suppose someone had to be sacrificed.

I enjoyed this episode, more so than the last. I agree, there's something up with Jesus in the sense that i get the impression that he knows something about Lafayette; and the mother will be involved somehow...
Jesus said something about it being easy for the positive energy to go dark, i reckon that's what happened to his mother, and aunt + Tara...certainly powers in the family...

One thing i don't like is the sudden appearance of powers, nearly every one of the main characters has one...just think they're going a bit OTT...
I even think there's a possibility that Franklin's kid has one the way today's episode went!

What an episode! Awe can't believe Eric killed Talbot. He had a funny line too 'I'm bored, take off your clothes' lol
How is Eric going to kill the king? Can't wait for next weeks episode.

I hope Russel doesn't kill Pam because Eric killed Talbot!

That was a great episode... finally Jessica is a badass!

    Totally enjoyed this one.

Sookie finally kicks Debbie's ass! And she didn't even need Bill to rescue her. Thank God Russell showed up when he did or we'd never have seen her stand on her own two feet.

Bill was less annoying because of all the time he spent onscreen with Jessica.

Jessica - yaaaaaay!!!! She rocks! Glad we are getting more time with her - she totally added to the episode.

Eric - excellent altogether! I don't know if he'll kill Russell...
He basically said that killing Talbot was revenge. (And inadvertently saving Bill in the process - he'll be happy to hear that;))
I think the whole Magister storyline may take care of Russell. But then is Sophie-Anne going to regain her throne???

Jesus/LaFayette - why are they giving LaFayette a power now??? So annoying that everyone in Bon Temps is turning into a supe. Plus LaFayette is brilliant without a power.

Tommy - such a terrier! He is starting to grow on me. That little exchange with Hoyt was good. And at least we know Hoyt still likes Jessica.

Tara - Oh no! She's getting post traumatic stress syndrome! So can't handle whiney Tara. Hope Franklin is still alive/undead and scares the bejaysus out of her;)

Four episodes left:eek: Thank God for TG4 rerunning season 1 and season 2 starting in September...

The truth is if they don't do something with the human characters they will run out of storylines. I don't read the books but one thing I did hear was book
that Lafayette dies at the end of the first book, it was him in the car not that Ms Janette one,so basically now in the show they can go whatever direction they like with him

Same thing with Jason,I don't think the ever plan to give him powers but they have set up a storyline where he is now in love with a supernatural to make him more interesting. Same with Hoyt and Jessica.

Ah yeah - I have read the books and I know the deal with LaFayette but I just think that they need to keep a few normal characters to ground Sookie and some of the storylines.
Plus LaFayette is interesting enough without having to have powers...

Scrolled down and highlighted the spoiler tag without reading that it was from the books! Didn't even realise it was a spoiler tag, as i always highlight text as i'm reading (habit of mine)

    Great episode all around.

I don't think Crystal and family are werewolves but something else - if they are werewolves, it'll be kind of disappointing, why the mystery and build up to the reveal then?

Great seeing Eric start his revenge on the king though I didn't expect him to do something this bold, this soon. Exactly how will he escape the king's wrath now and how will he get to him in the end?

Lafayette/Jesus: Lafayette's mom was on about "vampires and witches". We've seen no witches/warlocks so far so I'm guessing that's where they are going with this. Plus, a couple of episodes back, Jesus was going on about the mystical powers of the idols Lafayette had, etc. On the other hand, that new waitress at Merlotte's looks kinda wonky and I could see her turning out to be a witch...

Looking forward to the last four episodes now, but disappointed that there are only so many left... this show makes me actually look forward to Mondays :D.

That new waitress looked like a witch to me anyway! How cool was Jessica in this? Her little wave to the wolf was just great! Can't believe there's only four more episodes left.

Is it a straight run through in the states now?

Great episode. Like everyone I'm glad that Jessica is a bad ass now. Hopefully Bill will train her more soon. I was surprised Bill didn't go after Jessica to protect her but then I remembered he would have felt if she needed his help. I'm liking the Sam and Tommy story. They will more than likely help Jason out when he inevitably needs it.

I'm interested to see what Crystals family are and what powers Lafayette has. He's probably wizard alright as it was mentioned by his mother. Jesus's interest in Lafayette may because his mother told him about Lafayette and he wants whatever Lafayette has.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to see a love triangle form? If its in the books I'll go with it (written before twilight) but I don't want to see them do a twilight.

Great episode, thought the scene with sam sniffing out the "crystal meth" family was an interesting.

Eric killing talbot was great didn't see it coming.

Still great episode, can't believe there is only a couple of episodes left.

Thouroughly enjoyed this episode. Though I AM annoyed that Bill and Sookie's breakup didn't last. BOOK!SPOILER:
It was better in the book when she ditched him completely. Going straight back to him makes her seem uber needy
And the Eric striptease/sex/murder scene had me reeling. As if I didn't drool over that man enough.
Anyways, if the next season is going to stay true to the book then I can't wait to see it! It's going to be very interesting ;3

^^It's in the book as well. Actually that piece of s*!t Meyer ripped off Charlaine Harris a LOT.
