Getting Cut

    Can you only get cut when you break standard scratch in a competition or can you get cut if you play a friendly 4 ball and return a card breaking the standard scratch?

    It will vary from club to club ,

    A lad from our club returned his card from a friendly round with a fellow member he had scored 46 pts( not sure what it was strokes wise ),He got cut from 19 to 15 . He was quite happy for this to happen as he had played a lot of golf outside of comp's and knew he was a lot better then his 19 hc and he didn't want to return a card like that during a comp and be tarred a bandit/cheat .

    you can be cut anytime under the rule off obersavation (can't spell it).
