Technomate Query

I'm planning on getting my first non-Sky satellite set-up soon to get some of the channels I used to have back in the days of analogue Sky to help practice my languages. I may end up getting a foreign sub later on too, so I decided to go for a receiver that would allow this and show HD programming where available as well, and a motorised dish. With that in mind, having read up from a few places I'm going to get a Technomate TM 7100 HD receiver. But I just have a few questions that I can't find the answers to:
I know to record one program while watching another they will both have to be on the same satellite, but if I set it to record something on satellite A, then go to watch something on satellite B before putting everything into standby, will it know to switch satellites when the time to record comes or will I have to make sure it is already pointing at the correct satellite.
The answer to this question comes from the previous answer I assume, but if I'm going away for a week or two can I set it to record programs from several different satellites as long as none of them are on at the same time?
I'm going to keep the Sky dish up for Freesat on what is now my multiroom box. Can I plug one wire from each dish into the Technomate receiver to then watch a foreign satellite while recording from the Freesat one and vice versa?

i wouldnt personally get 1 m8,get a Vu+ duo you can watch 1 channel and record another even if its on another transponder, better support than the tm7100 also
