    Hi folks,

Anybody else come across this problem.
when switch is on silent any pressure to the phone casing will case the phone to vibrate, so if I have it in my pocket on silent it vibrates alot.

Phone probally is still under warranty, only got last December.

Will I have to return it or what should I do.

Dont want to be without my beloved iphone for to long.

    Thanks

If you feel it is not working properly then make a warranty claim. Give apple a bell.

I had a 3GS replaced under warranty for the exact same reason. Apple had it picked up and a replacement back in less than 48 hours.

I was going to post a new thread on this but a google search brought up this one. I have the same problem. My 3GS silent switch is not working properly and it wibrates a lot when switched to silent when I touch it. It appears to be a faulty switch or a loose connection.
Now I bought my phone secondhand and it's jailbroken and unlocked. Will this be covered on warranty? Or will I have to pay to get a repair done in some dodgey repair shop?

Do I just do a reset to wipe the Jailbreak and send it back to them. I have checked the apple website and when I put in my IMEI it says my warrenty is valid until March 2011. Will they repair it or send me a new one? I saw somewhere that somebody got theres replaced with an Iphone 4. That would be nice but I'd never be that lucky.

You'll more than likely get a refurbished 3GS back. Generally refurbs from Apple are like new. Don't fancy your chances of getting a 4 :)

And yeah if you just reset the JB you should be fine.
