Had to share my indulgence with you - have just poached peaches in syrup and then added blueberries and topped it all off with vanilla icecream. I know this is probably nothing new to most people, but just had to let the world know that it was absolutely delicious :).

My girlfriend made a fantastic desert with roast peaches, pistachio nuts and meringue.

    Deserts need more peaches in.

did you just poach them in the syrup from the can or did you use fresh peaches?

I used fresh peaches. Just put sugar in a hot pan and allowed it to go brown then added water and made a syrup. Added peaches (cut in half and stones removed) and poached them for about 15 mins. Then added blueberries. Had them cold this morning for breakfast for yogurt but prefer them warm.

Sounds lovely both ways - I wonder could you try it with Nectarines have a few at home, might give it a whirl later. Anything goes well with ice -cream!:)
