I would like holiday ideas for 2011.

This year I did a mobile home holiday in France
Last year I was in Australia and Phuket
I have been to Orlando and the Gulf Coast
I have done the Package holiday stuff

I don't really have any concrete ideas myself. I wouldnt mind travelling around some part of the US in a motor home but I know "herself" wont do that after driving 3600kms across France/UK a few weeks back.

I was thinking of waiting till January for the Travel show in the RDS but I know booking early means you get it cheaper and Im impatient.

Any helpful ideas would be good.

    On that basis:

Slumming. I like my creature comforts so nope.

Trekking. My other half is not well so someplace in the Western / Developed world.

Safari. My other half, along with being permanently ill, has a fear of snakes. We saw one in Australia last year and there was panic. Feck we saw a lizard in the US and she freaked out. Funnily, so did the gay guy in the same smoking area who jumped into his partners arms. Oh I laughed :D

Cruising. We are not ready for that. Maybe in 10 years + or so.

Vegas! We already have it booked for 2011. So much more than just gambling/drinking.

What about a fly drive in California/Nevada/Arizona, we did that 2 years ago and it was amazing, but expensive and a lot of driving involved.

Next year, I would love to drive around New England, flights are much cheaper as you can fly direct to Boston and the distances involved are much less.

I wouldn't rule out the cruise on the basis of age. We went on one for honeymoon a few months ago(Royal Caribbean-Freedom of the Seas) and it was FAB!!! We're 30 and 32 and the age group was very mixed, alot of couples around our own age. There's loads to do on board, great food, different stops every day and just pure luxury. Can't wait to do another one

Slovenia. Just go, trust me. Was there a couple of weeks ago and just could not get over the beauty in the country. Plus its nice and cheap, and has the euro. Nice and close to Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Croatia should you want to get somewhere else in

How about a trip in Scandinavia, Starting in Denmark, get the boat to Norway and drive a bit up the country. There are some stunning routes and train trips and if you have the time drive over to Sweden or get the boat. Norway especially is an amazing country.

This sounds like what I would like to do. BOTH!

I think Vegas, San Fran and wine country would win out with a few days in New York.

Egypt. "She" wont go. She wont tell me why really but other than "I dont want to".....................

    Slovenia. Not this time.

    Scandanavia. Expensive no?

Island Hopping Greece. I was in Greece and Crete before and want to avoid that "crowd".
